Down tools when it stops being fun

Why free reels on a cliff are still 18+

Social casino games borrow the look, sound and rhythm of real gambling. Tinmine Clifftop is meant only for adults over the legal gambling age and is not aimed at anyone under 18. Your age is checked twice: once on the banner that meets you, and once more as a tick you must give when you make your account.

Things the count house will never do

• Offer or promote real-money gambling of any kind on the cliff.
• Hand out prizes that have real-world value.
• Sell coins, or bolt in-app purchases on to the games.
• Steer you down the cliff to gambling operators or their affiliates.
• Use countdowns or streaks to tug you back up the cliff.

A warning from the mine captain

A free game can be set up to feel generous, and it tops your balance up for nothing. Real-money games do neither of those things. Doing well up here tells you nothing about how you would fare with money on the line.

Signs to watch for at the shaft head

• Staying at the reels long after your planned finish.
• Turning snappish when it is time to stop.
• Spinning to run from a bad mood.
• Spinning is taking hours from sleep, work or the people around you.
• You go looking for a real-money version of the reels.

Keeping a hand on the winding gear

• Pick your finishing time before the engine house starts turning.
• Leave autoplay switched off and spin by hand.
• Take a breather often, like a crib break underground.
• Clear this site’s data to wipe everything, or block the site in your device settings if you want to stop for good.
